Galileo has been called the “father of observational astronomy”, the “father of modern physics”, and the “father of science.”
He played a major role in the scientific revolution during the Renaissance.

His contributions to observational astronomy include the telescopic confirmation of the phase of Venus, the discovery of the four largest satellites of Jupiter (named of Galilean moons in his honour)

পেশাগত জীবনে তিনি একজন Actor ছিলেন; নাটক করতেন Globe Theater এ। Shakespeare কে Trinity Church এ সমাহিত করা হয়।
Francis Meres নামক এক আইনজীবি ১৫৯৮ সালে শেক্সপিয়রকে Britain’s greatest dramatist হিসেবে ঘোষণা করেন।
Shakespeare was famous for:
i. 37 plays ( মতান্তরে ৩৮টি; ২৫টি রাণীর জীবদ্দশায়, বাকিগুলো Jacobean period এ রচিত)
ii. 154 sonnets
iii. 2 long narrative poems (বর্ণনামূলক /আখ্যান কবিতা)
তিনি Jacobean period এ অনেক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নাটক লিখলেও তাকে Elizabethan Period এর নাট্যকারই বলা হতো।
Henry (VI) শেক্সপিয়রের প্রথম নাটক । তবে এ নাটকে ক্রিস্টোফার মার্লোর বিপুল প্রভাব থাকায় নাটকটির মৌলিকত্ব হারায়।
Shakespeare wrote four types of play:
(I) Tragedy (12টি)
(II) Comedy (15টি)
(III) Tragi-Comedy (Tragi-Comedy এর প্রবর্তক ছিলেন Shakespeare নিজেই)
(IV) Historical play
His each play consists of five acts.
(Act: major divition of the action of a play)
Shakespeare composed much of his plays in iambic pentameter.
Soliloquy means –স্বগতোক্তি; a speech by an actor on a lonely stage.
Soliloquy তে অভিনেতার মনের কথা শ্রোতা শুনতে পায়।
Aside means একান্তরে a brief comment by a character addressing the audience, unheard by other Characters.
